Two candidates for Falkland Islands by-election
JACK Christopher Ford and Gary Colin Webb were announced on August 22 by the Returning Officer Andy Keeling as the candidates nominated for the September Falkland Islands Camp 21 by-election.
Mr Ford was proposed by Louise Suzan Pole-Evans and seconded by Samantha Ann Marsh with supporters Ailsa Heathman, Andrew James Watson, Mhari Ashworth and Ana Bonita Crowie
Mr Webb was proposed by Matthew John McMullen seconded by Trudi Lynette McPhee and supported by Steven Charles Dickson, Michael David Jones, Darren Clive Bagley and Stacey Elizabeth Bagley.
Polling will take place at Goose Green on the East, Fox Bay on the West and the Stanley Town Hall.
Mr Ford is currently a Trainee Auditor within Internal Audits for Falkland Islands Government and Mr Webb is the Logistics and Engineering Manager for the Falkland Islands Meat Company.
Candidates have been invited to submit 500 word manifestos to the Penguin News in time for the September 7 edition.
